1) Brandon Bridge, QB, South Alabama

It only makes sense to start with a prospect that I actually covered here already in one of my draft profiles. But enough self-promoting, South Alabama quarterback Brandon Bridge should put on a show at the combine. Not only is his size at 6-4, 226 lbs. impressive, but he should also showcase his arm talent in the throwing drills as well.

Bridge has the burst and long speed to run the fastest 40-yard dash of all the quarterbacks at the event. Although that won’t mean much if he doesn’t deliver in the actual quarterback portion of the event either. He has said he’s looking forward to the throwing part of the combine the most, and rightfully so.

The throwing drills will answer a lot of questions scouts and coaches may have regarding Bridge’s accuracy, throwing mechanics, etc. If he performs well in the event, his stock may increase by a full round or two in such a weak class at quarterback.

It’s clear the Eagles have to start looking for their franchise quarterback and the draft is obviously a great place to start. While Bridge may not be the immediate answer, with proper training and enough time to learn, he could be the answer down the road.
