7. player. 57. When the Chicago Bears hired new head coach John Fox , the conversion to a new 3-4 defense was already underway on sketch pads and blackboards. Many of the personnel on a 4-3 defense can migrate with relative ease to the new defense, with one exception: the nose tackle. He struggled to play sideline to sideline, but when facing runners who challenged between the tackles, he shows up. He does a nice job of clogging the middle and keeping blockers off linebackers. Truly a need, but thanks to the position, is one of the best players available to Chicago. And the phone rings.. DT. University of Washington. Danny Shelton
