Practice Squad:
While it’s nearly impossible to predict a team’s final roster, let alone their practice squad, I figured it’d be fun to give it a shot. Luckily the great guys over at IgglesBlitz.com made it a whole lot easier by breaking down which players were actually practice squad eligible and which players weren’t. That being said, he’s my attempt at guessing the team’s 10-man practice squad for the upcoming season!
Running Back: Raheem Mostert (1 RB/Total: 1)
Wide Receiver: Rasheed Bailey, Freddie Martino (2 WR/Total: 3)
Tight End: Eric Tomlinson (1 TE/Total: 4)
Offensive Guard: Malcolm Bunche, Brett Boyko (2 OG/Total: 6)
Defensive End: Brian Mihalik (1 DE/Total: 7)
Outside Linebacker: Diaheem Watkins (1 OLB/Total: 8)
Cornerback: Randall Evans (1 CB/Total: 9)
Safety: Ed Reynolds (1 S/Total: 10)
The Eagles will get lucky to have some of these players go through the waiver wire unclaimed but stranger things have happened. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some of these players develop an “injury” so that the Eagles can keep them around for another year, without putting them at risk to be poached by another team. Some candidates for a phantom injury would likely be Brian Mihalik, Rasheed Bailey, Malcolm Bunche and Randall Evans.
That’s all for my final 53-man roster prediction following the end of the preseason for the Eagles. The real final cuts will come this Saturday at 4:00 PM EST but until then, let us know who you think will make the final cut in the comment section below.
