4. The Injuries Are Piling Up

As mentioned earlier the defense has been bitten hard by the injury bug, but now it is starting to really pile up on both sides of the ball. Left tackle Jason Peters, who was dealing with quad injury before, re-injured it and missed most of the game. Backup defensive end Brandon Bair, who was playing because of injuries to Cedric Thornton and Taylor Hart, left the game with a groin injury.

Running back Demarco Murray only played a handful of snaps because of a hamstring, quarterback Sam Bradford got his ankle rolled on but returned, and defensive end Fletcher Cox rolled his ankle as well. Chip Kelly prides himself with having few injuries because of his sports science, but it sure looks like it’s not really having any kind of impact. The Philadelphia Eagles can’t afford any more injuries.
