16. Detroit Lions: Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss

The future of All-Pro wide receiver Calvin Johnson (also known as Megatron) is unclear. He told the Lions that he plans to retire, but nothing is official. Assuming he does choose to hang up the cleats for good, the Lions may be intrigued by a player like Laquon Treadwell.

Treadwell is arguably the best receiver in this year’s draft and at 6’2″, 221 pounds, he brings good size to the table (though he’s not quite on Megatron’s level). Treadwell does have a similar skill set to Megatron, however. He is exceptional at using his body to shield off cornerbacks from the ball and is able to win in jump ball situations. He is not a burner, but neither was Megatron. Treadwell could make sense for the Lions if Megatron does call it quits.

And that’s a big if.
