2) Philadelphia Eagles (via Cleveland): Carson Wentz QB, North Dakota State

It finally happened. The Eagles who have all offseason been praising Wentz have made their move up to number two with Wentz as their clear target. They are blatantly trying to repeat their successful script from 1999 when they drafted Donovan McNabb.

Wentz is a big bodied quarterback with great arm talent and athleticism. Wentz also is very bright, scoring very high on the wonderlic test. The doubts about Wentz are his ability to develop with a low level of competition and his injury history. Hopefully for Eagles fans, they knew what they were doing when they gave up a possibly very valuable pick at eight plus four more for the young QB.
