#2. Zach Ertz

We’re not going to revisit Zach Ertz taking the “next step” or how he is “poised to have a breakout season.” You’ve heard that enough. Truthfully, that should have happened already. It’s been written and read about over and over. The numbers don’t back up the claim. Ertz has had a tendency to disappear for stretches. Bradford’s taken some blame for not targeting him enough, but if a guy isn’t getting open, then here’s only so much his quarterback can do.

This isn’t to be overly critical of Ertz. He is a very good tight-end and has the ability to play at an outstanding level, but for all intents and purposes, this can be looked at as a “make or break” year for Ertz. This is the point. It’s time to stop waiting on great things and just expect great things.
