Sacks

Vinny Curry

2015-16 Stats: 12 tackles/3.5 sacks

Projected 2016-17 Stats: 40-45 tackles/14 sacks/2 forced fumbles

Breakout candidate alert!

Curry finally gets his opportunity to start and show the league what he is capable of. Curry’s 2015-16 stats don’t jump off the page but people need to remember he has been merely a 3rd down pass rusher.

The move to 4-3 and Schwartz arriving in town could not have come at a better time for Curry and the Eagles. Coming off a 9 sack year in 2014 fans had high hopes for Curry in 2015 but unable to get into the starting line-up his production dipped last season. Fletcher Cox would be who many project as  sack leader, so let’s go against the grain.

Cox’s influence at the line of scrimmage usually sees him draw more than one blocker, and the more one-on-one match-ups Curry sees, the better. Cox receiving so much attention will help as well.
