5. Week 17: Eagles give Tom Coughlin a going away present

It was week 17, Kelly had finally been given his walking papers and the Eagles traveled north to face their longtime nemesis the New York Giants. Without their leader and “offensive genius” pacing the sidelines, the Eagles treated their fans to, arguably, their greatest offensive showcase of the season. The ball was thrown down the field, there was relatively sharp play from the quarterback position and DeMarco Murray even broke lose to take one the distance.

It was the farewell game for coaching great Tom Coughlin. There would be no mercy though. The Eagles were focused, hungry, loose and looked better than they had looked the majority of the season. Their playoff fate had already been decided, but any victory over the boys in blue is always a welcome sight.
