Quarterback

  1. Sam Bradford
  2. Chase Daniel

This may be the easiest position to figure out on the Eagles’ depth chart.

As average as he was last season, Sam Bradford will once again be the unquestioned starter for the Eagles in 2016. It’s his team and unless he either gets benched or gets injured (the latter being very probable), he will be Philadelphia’s guy under center.

Behind Bradford will be Chase Daniel, who the Eagles signed early in free agency this past March. Daniel may not be the most popular guy, but the Eagles’ could have done a lot worse in their hunt for a reliable backup QB. Doug Pederson believes Daniel is far more than just a backup and can lead the Eagles’ offense if need be.

You may be wondering why Carson Wentz isn’t listed here. Seeing as this is a two-deep depth chart, Wentz has been left off. But don’t worry, he will definitely make the team as a rookie. He just won’t see the field.

At all.

The Eagles seem set on letting Wentz sit behind Bradford and Daniel to learn the ropes of the NFL. Too often, teams throw their young quarterbacks into the fire prematurely, which harms the player’s development in the long run. The Eagles don’t want to do that with Wentz and will do everything in their power to make sure his development isn’t disrupted.
