Josh Huff

We stay with the wide receiver position on this one. The second player to watch is Josh Huff.

Huff has been more than a disappointment as an Eagle, and still seeing him in midnight green is, without question, an ugly stain from the Kelly era in Philadelphia.

This year should be different. There are no more excuses. There shouldn’t be any more statements about him knowing the offensive system better than anyone because he played under the head coach in college. There shouldn’t be any more excuses that his play was affected by injuries.

It’s a new coaching staff, and Huff isn’t guaranteed a single down on the field this year. He’ll have to prove himself in camp. He’ll also face significant competition for a spot on the depth chart in training camp due to the Eagles signed Rueben Randle and Chris Givens to one-year contracts.

Randle is veteran wideout, who will most likely battle out Agholor for the No. 2 or No. 3 spot on the depth chart, while Givens will compete with Huff for the fourth and fifth spots on the depth chart. In the 2014 NFL Draft, Huff was one of 15 wide receivers who were selected in the first three rounds. Out of those 15 wide receivers, Huff ranks 13th in receptions with 35. Players selected behind him like Donte Moncrief and John Brown rank ninth and eighth, respectively.

With that being said, Huff will really have to “wow” the new coaching staff if he plans on staying in Philadelphia in the future.
