Joe Mixon, Oklahoma

It’s hard not to like Mixon as a football player. As a sophomore in 2016, Mixon ran for 1,274 yards and 10 touchdowns on 187 carries. He also caught 37 balls for 538 yards and five more scores.

Unfortunately, Mixon has serious issues as a human being.

In 2014, Mixon assaulted a woman by punching her in the head, causing her to have multiple bones in her face surgically repaired. A video of the incident was released in December. Mixon was also suspended for a game in 2016 after an altercation between himself and a parking attendant. In this incident, Mixon reportedly tore up a parking citation and threw it at the parking attendant’s face.

Mixon’s off-field issues are concerning. But if a team were willing to take a chance on him despite his character concerns, he would certainly make up for the trouble on the field.
