4. Jack Cichy, inside linebacker/outside linebacker, Wisconsin Badgers

Any conversation about talented players who lack high motors won’t lead you to mentioning Wisconsin’s Jack Cichy. He would provide much-needed depth at the inside linebacker position, one of the spots the Eagles need depth the most.

The Eagles defensive unit and coaching staff got a much needed boost of confidence when starting middle linebacker Jordan Hicks proved he could make it through an entire 16 game schedule and stay healthy. We’re not out of the woods yet. Hicks still hasn’t escaped the theory that he may be fragile. With that thought in mind, don’t be surprised if the Eagles look to add depth at the inside linebacker position in next April’s draft.

There’s no better place to begin looking than with Cichy. He’s good against the run (a trait every NFL defensive coordinator loves), and he has everything upstairs that we like in team leaders. Racking up 60 tackles and five sacks in 2016 won’t make anyone complain either.
