9. Donnel Pumphrey‘s been getting a lot of work.

Well, you have to figure out how to get the ball to the all-time leader in rushing yards in NCAA Division I FBS history, don’t you? Pumprhey was a fourth-round draft selection by the Eagles, and so far he’s lined up with the first-team offense, on special teams and as a slot receiver. Every Eagles fan is interested in what his role will be in the upcoming season.

10. The Eagles have the best defensive tackle tandem in the league.

There’s nothing wrong with saying that early is it? You already know about Fletcher Cox. Timmy Jernigan was added in the offseason, and there’s been excitement. It’s easy to see why if you didn’t keep up with the Baltimore Ravens a season ago. Jernigan keeps finding his way to Wentz, and he keeps making life difficult for whoever lines up across from him.

We imagined the plan for many offensive units would be to double team Cox, but that may not be a very good idea. You already know what happens if teams try the other option and leave Cox one on one with anybody.

Advantage Eagles.

Footnotes:

Rodney McLeod and Malcolm Jenkins are getting to know each other fairly well and develop some chemistry. Stefen Wisniewski had taken some snaps at center during OTAs. In the final 11-on-11 period, Isaac Seumalo worked with the first-team unit at center, and Allen Barbre filled in at left guard.

Goodness, the end of July seems like it’s three months away.
