7. Agholor doesn’t know how to line up.

For whatever reason, the Eagles just can’t beat the Seattle Seahawks. They’ve even struggled with them when they were average. Thanks to both teams finishing second in their respective divisions in 2015, the Eagles found Seattle on their schedule a year later. Everyone’s inner prognosticator probably had this one penciled in as a loss when the season began, but somewhere around the second quarter, the game was still up for grabs.

Then, the Seahawks caught a break thanks to a mistake indicative of a team that has been inconsistent and a wide receiver that hadn’t been able to get anything going all season. Picture this. The score is 13-7 midway through the second quarter. It’s third-and-six from their own 43 yard line. A screen pass to tight end Zach Ertz is called, and he takes it the distance. There’s just one problem.

Nelson Agholor was called for an illegal formation penalty for not lining up close enough to the line of scrimmage.

The touchdown is wiped away. The Eagles are forced to punt, and the momentum swung in the direction of the Seahawks for the remainder of the afternoon. Regardless of how angry he may have made you throughout the season, that was probably the time you kind of felt sorry for Agholor because it became painfully evident that he may not be cut out for the NFL.

Thankfully, something good happened for him a few weeks later.
