Starting cornerbacks Jalen Mills and Patrick Robinson came to play

The Eagles cornerback unit has been under a fair share of criticism throughout training camp. In many ways, the corners are the weakest spot on the entire team.

Despite the criticism, starters Jalen Mills and Patrick Robinson surprisingly played very well. On the opening drive, both Mills and Robinson made key tackles forcing a three and out. One of the bigger plays of the game came from a Fletcher Cox forced fumble that Robinson recovered. In addition to the fumble recovery, Robinson also had pass defended as well.

Does this mean that the Eagles finally have an effective starting corner duo in Mills and Robinson? Time will tell, but it is good to see that a struggling unit made a solid impact in the preseason opener.
