1. Alex Smith couldn’t have gotten off to a better start than he did. How satisfied is the Kansas City fan base with their signal caller and how how good can he be?

You saw the ceiling of how good he can be in the season opener. It was good enough to win him Offensive Player of the Week in the AFC. He’s done it on rare occasions before, including the playoffs. It’s just about believing more in his ability to strike downfield than any worries about turning the ball over.

The Chiefs had an excellent game plan against the (New England) Patriots, and Smith executed it beautifully. Every Chiefs fan is ecstatic right now and hopeful about this season, while also knowing the future is already in the barn, so to speak.
