2. Cox does the “Thriller” dance in the endzone

It sounds like the stuff that great movies are born out of. The Eagles hadn’t beaten the Washington Redskins in quite some time. Despite a great effort and some hard-fought moments, Philly sat in the fourth quarter with a thought that had to be on everyone’s mind.

“We still might lose this game.” Well, if the team didn’t feel that way, their fans definitely did.

The game was reaching its’ climax. The ‘Skins had the ball, and then it happened. Brandon Graham found his way into the Redskins’ backfield, knocked the ball free and gave the Eagles an opportunity to put game number one on ice. Cox, took that opportunity and ran with it (literally).

Take a look:

Cox’s twenty yard dash after scooping up Redskins’ quarterback Kirk Cousins‘ fumble put Philly up for good. It felt good to see the Eagles’ pass rush turn the tables and get into the Redskins’ backfield and disrupt things.

By the way, here’s something for anyone who still has any doubt. It was a fumble. We’ve watched the replay hundreds of times.
