Most Disappointing Player – Wide Receiver Torrey Smith

More from Inside the Iggles

Unfortunately, it hasn’t been perfect. The most disappointing player award goes to one of those offseason acquisitions. Unfortunately, Torrey Smith has underwhelmed to this point of the season. No one is sure what is going on with Smith, but sometimes, he’s just completely invisible during a game.

Smith has been held to zero catches in the past two games, and he’s had three different games with only one reception. There could be quite a few reasons for this. Maybe Smith is still working on his chemistry with Wentz. Then again, we all know how Wentz and the offense likes to spread the ball around, so that may also be an important factor.

Nevertheless, Smith was signed to, hopefully, be one of the main deep threats on the team. So far, he’s being outplayed by Agholor and first-year wide receiver Mack Hollins. If this trend continues, it might be time for Doug to start giving more and more of Smith’s snaps to Hollins.

That’s all folks! There’s still plenty of season left to play, and a lot can change. It should be interesting to see how the rest of this season plays out for a 7-1 Eagles team.
