5 Things Eagles fans should be thankful for this year
The Progression of Carson Wentz.
Now we all know that Carson Wentz gets praised on daily basis in Philadelphia. But let’s really sit back and appreciate what he has done in year two. We saw some nice flashes of Wentz’s potential in his rookie season, but it was pretty average to the public. After an entire offseason of defending Wentz, he delivered in his sophomore season.
Currently, Wentz leads the NFL in touchdown passes and is fourth in passer rating. Anybody who believed that Wentz wasn’t the real deal is starting to hop on the Wentz Wagon. He had a strong start to the season but everybody remembered how much he regressed after week three of last year.
After giving it some time, Wentz still has yet to burn out from his hot start. The fact is, the kid can ball. He is currently a strong favorite to win the NFL MVP award. The only quarterback in the league that is Wentz’ competition right now for the award is Tom Brady. I am sure by now you do not need a description of who Tom Brady is. Just know that Wentz is giving that guy some competition for the award and that is all you need to know. For that, we are thankful for Carson Wentz.
