ITI: Explain the frustrations of one of the most loyal fan bases in all of sports. What are the Bears fans saying?

Bear Goggles On: It’s not the frustration as much as the apathy that is concerning.  Bears fans have gotten so used to losing that a lot have bailed.  The number of no-shows at Soldier Field goes up every week.  The fans that remain want to see change.  Most believe that John Fox has overstayed his welcome and will be gone by the end of the season.  Some want Ryan Pace or team president Ted Phillips to get the axe, while there’s always a segment of fans that want to see the (Virginia Halas) McCaskey sell the team.

ITI: Who are the guys that Eagles fans should be worried about that may not get the national attention?

Bear Goggles On: On the offensive side of the ball, be on the lookout for a couple of rookies – running back Tarik Cohen and tight end Adam Shaheen.  Both are still learning the system and trying to find their niche in the offense, but both have shown flashes.  Cohen is explosive and can bust a play at any point in the game while Shaheen is a big target that can be especially dangerous in the red zone.

On the defensive side of the ball, I’ll give you another rookie, safety Eddie Jackson.  The Bears got a bargain in picking Jackson up in the fourth round as he was coming off a broken leg last season at Alabama.  He had a breakout game where he had a pair of long defensive touchdowns.  He is solid in run support and has proven to be a ball hawk.  He’ll need to be on his game to try to slow down the potent Eagles offense.
