Malcolm Jenkins, S

There is no question that Malcolm Jenkins is the clear-cut leader of the defense. Not only because he speaks to motivate the team before and after the game, but because he leads by example. Once again, Jenkins is quietly having a very good season. Although it sort of goes unnoticed around the league, Eagles fans know that Jenkins is very valuable to the defensive backfield.

Last week was a sloppy performance put on by Jenkins and the secondary as a whole. The defensive backs were around the ball to make a play but they could not complete tackles for the most part. Over the past two weeks, that has been a major issue and it needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

Jenkins’ partner in crime on the other side, Rodney McLeod hasn’t particulary looked very good either. If you noticed, when one of them is playing sloppy, the other seems to emulate that same type of play. If Jenkins can get back to the way he has been playing all season, the defense should be able to have a big game. After all, We shouldn’t expect to see any of the Giants recievers really put up a big game against the Philadelphia secondary.
