A Carson in a pear tree

More from Inside the Iggles

Carson Wentz has stolen the hearts of an entire fan base. Heck. Carson Wentz has stolen the hearts of some people who aren’t even Eagles fans. Think about it.

He threw his final touchdown pass with a torn ACL. That pass gave him the team record for touchdown passes in a season. There was still quite a bit of time left in the second half of that game against the Rams. There were still three more games to be played in the regular season.

Can you imagine what could have been?

The next chapter of the Carson Wentz story will have to wait now, but Eagles fans are cheerful. They’ve found their quarterback of the future. Hopefully, he’ll be around for a while,  but as great as he’s been, there’s still room for improvement. That’s a scary proposition for anyone who isn’t an Eagles fan. That’s a wonderful thought for everyone who is.

Bright days are ahead in Philly.
