Go ahead and get your laughs out now. Are you done? Okay. So let’s talk about Jake Elliott’s significance in this upcoming playoff game. He may just be one of the most important players on the team right now. With the struggles of the Eagles’ offense, they may be in for a day where three-pointers are attempted like it’s basketball.

Considering the weather in Philadelphia is expected to be windy, rainy and cold, field goals will be tough to take on. If Elliott can knock a few threw when called upon, the Eagles’ will be in good shape to win. If this game goes as planned, it will be a low scoring defensive battle. So don’t be surprised to see more field goals than desired this Saturday.

Elliott has been reliable when needed this season, and now the Eagles really need him to come through. If you can remember back in 2013, the Eagles lost their Wild Card playoff game by two points. At some point in that game, the Eagles had a missed field goal, which would’ve had them winning by one. Now we’re not saying they would’ve definitley won with those three points, but we also can’t stand to think about what if’s. We don’t want this year’s playoff situation to be the same case. Therefore, Elliott is just as important as anybody this week.
