5 Eagles that are key to a victory against the Vikings
Nick Foles, QB
Let’s stay on topic here for a second. Nick Foles is clearly one of the most important players in this week’s matchup. No, he doesn’t need to have an MVP performance. He just need’s to minimize mistakes and just simply do his job. That’s it. Do not let the national media tell you otherwise. We’ve seen him do well enough to win last week so there’s no reason why this week should be looked at any different.
Just like we previously stated, the offense will most likely be running with quick plays that are tailored to Nick Foles style. Having him drop back in the pocket and look for a deep ball to throw just hasn’t seemed to work for him this year so Pederson is changing things up for the better.
With Foles’ gaining some confidence under center, the Eagles should have one of their better days on offense since the Wentz injury happened. We saw Foles start to lead the offense with authority in the second half of last week’s game and we are hoping all of that rolls over to this week. We’ve seen the confidence set in with him before and it truly is a beautiful thing. This week he could show the doubters that he can take this team to the promise land.
