Recently, one of the greatest Philadelphia Eagles ever got his bronze bust carved for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

What a weekend it was. Philadelphia Eagles fans got two of their wishes met in consecutive nights. On a Saturday night, they learned one of the greatest players to ever put on a green jersey, long-time Eagles safety Brian Dawkins, was going to be enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. One night later, ‘The Birds’ won the Super Bowl.

The team may have put that moment behind them as they head back to work, but who are we kidding? Eagles fans have yet to stop celebrating either achievement.

‘Weapon X’ is given a bronze twin.

Who knows when it sunk in for ‘Weapon X’? Maybe, it was immediately. Maybe, it came later.

One thing’s certain. He’s got to be fully aware of what’s going on now. Part of the mystique of this football shrine in Canton is its’ mystery and exclusivity.

It consists of a select few members. There aren’t many members of the general public that understand its’ inner workings. That’s why it was so cool when a few pictures capturing Dawkins having his likeness carved found their way onto social media.

Take a look:

We’re satisfied (for now). How about you? The enshrinement ceremony is August 4th. Dawkins’ friend and former Eagles teammate Troy Vincent will be his presenter. Just out of curiosity, do you ever wonder what ‘Dawk’ would have looked like in a Kelly Green jersey?
