It’s not just the Philadelphia Eagles who have benefited from the Super Bowl LII victory. The whole city of Philadelphia is still celebrating the franchise’s first Super Bowl.  The monumental performance the Eagles put up in February, has led the rest of Philly sports teams to success.

Philadelphia is one of the more successful cities in the United States when it comes to sports. Before 2018, all but one team of the four major sports have won a championship. But after a nail-biting victory on football’s biggest stage, you can now add the beloved Philadelphia Eagles into the mix.

The Eagles might’ve been the first Philly sports team to win it all in a while, but they don’t have exactly what the other teams have. That is multiple championships. The Philadelphia Phillies have won two World Series championships (1980, 2008). The Philadelphia Flyers won back to back Stanley Cup championships (1974, 1975). And the Philadelphia 76ers won three championships (1955, 1967, 1983). Just this year, the Eagles won their first Super Bowl.

While the city has seen many championships for its sports teams in the past, it has been quite a while since all of the major sports teams have seen successful seasons. That is, until now. The Eagles’ latest victory sure has seemed to be the cause of a winning trend in Philadelphia.

Let’s take a look at how the rest of the Philadelphia sports teams have fared this season.
