Philadelphia Eagles: Which notable veterans are on the chopping block?
Isaac Seumalo, OL
The Eagles currently hold one of the best offensive lines in football. We heard the hype about it all offseason last year, and it honestly did not disappoint when it came to crunch time. But the O-Line did look slightly different from the offseason to say, mid-season. For starters, Jason Peters went down with a torn ACL, which led Halapoulivaati Vaitai to start for the rest of the season.
Also, Isaac Seumalo got his starting reps to kick off the year but eventually lost his position to Stefen Wisniewski. The left guard position had a huge question mark around it last year until the one known as Wiz came in and made everything feel okay again.
Now, Seumalo will fight for his football life to stay on the roster this season. His game reps were highly disappointing, and there were many times that you could point the finger at Seumalo when Carson Wentz was laying on his back. So if Chance Warmack or any young guys show just an ounce more of value, Seumalo could be looking to become a free agent soon.
