Dallas Goedert, TE

The preseason is always an exciting time to get a glimpse of your teams first draft pick. For the Eagles, that is the second-round pick, tight end Dallas Goedert. The rookie hasn’t been in Philly for a long time, but so far he has made quite the impact in training camp. All it took was a splash of confidence, and now Goedert is beginning to look like a threat to opposing defenses already.

If you follow anybody that has an All-Access pass to the Nova Care Complex, you probably already know that Goedert has been a touchdown machine in red zone situations. And that’s against the starters too. Understanding how the Eagles utilized two or three tight ends in many cases in 2017, it was not surprising at all to see them take a chance on Goedert.

For the rookie’s sake, we shouldn’t expect a ton from him during his first game. But knowing how well he has performed alongside the Eagles starters in camp really raises the bar high for his expectations from us. We had seen a rookie tight end find the end zone already last week, could Goedert join also join the club?
