Kamu Grugier-Hill, LB

I’ve got a feeling that Eagles fans will be adopting a new chant sooner than later. It sounds something like ‘KAMUUUUU.’ All thanks to the offseason that veteran linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill is having. The special teams standout has expanded his talents this offseason and is starting to become the favorite for the weakside linebacker position with Mychal Kendricks out of the picture.

As of right now, the Eagles have some solid depth at linebacker, but it is still a question mark at this point. The preseason will at least give us a good idea of who can play the opposite side of Nigel Bradham when the regular season rolls around.

If the opener started tomorrow, our best guess is that Grugier-Hill will rack up a significant amount of snaps not only on the special teams but on the defense as well. This preseason, he will be in a battle with Nathan Gerry and Corey Nelson. Considering that the other two have been quiet recently, we can only assume that this position is Kamu’s to lose.
