Josh Adams, RB

By now, everybody that claims to be an Eagles fans should be familiar with Philadelphia native, Josh Adams. The former Notre Dame running back went seven rounds without a single call and eventually signed with his hometown Eagles. Now, Adams is fighting to make the roster just like his undrafted teammate Corey Clement did just a season ago.

Last week, the Eagles issued Adams an even amount of carries with his direct competitor, Wendell Smallwood. As you can guess, Adams surpassed Smallwood’s numbers with an impressive six carries for 30-yards behind the backup linemen.

We could highlight Donnel Pumphrey as the running back of interest on the team, but he hasn’t been able to stay healthy enough even to practice. And as of right now, his status for Thursday’s game seems doubtful. The only obstacle in the way of Adams’ making the Eagles roster is his health concerns and his fellow teammates progression. Considering that Pumphrey is unable to make a case for himself, and Smallwood remains underwhelming, Adams has a very realistic chance to make this roster.
