Fletcher Cox, DT

Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox wasn’t rated as the highest graded player on the team by PFF for nothing last week. The man was flat-out unstoppable. It’s pretty much at the point where if Cox is not getting double-teamed by the lineman, there’s a good chance he’s getting in the face of the passer one way or another.

The Eagles defensive line needs to put Fitzpatrick and the Buccaneers offense back in their place. There should be no reason why the Eagles defensive line can’t have a field day in the Bucs’ backfield this week.

With Cox leading the way, there’s a good chance that most of the pass rushers can eat throughout all four quarters. The veteran tackle stated before the season had begun that he had his eyes set on defensive player of the year, and so far he’s on the right path. Hopefully, the Eagles can play a near penalty-free game, so Cox’s contributions don’t go unnoticed on the stat sheet as well.
