Nick Foles, QB

When has the quarterback not been the key to success in the NFL? Last week, the Eagles relied heavily on Jay Ajayi and the rest of the backfield, while the defense took things over. This week, we want to see the Eagles get back to that 2017 post-season look. A high-scoring offense is something that we missed against the Falcons. To get back to that, Nick Foles needs to shoot that Super Bowl MVP confidence back into his system.

The Buccaneers may be without a few key pieces on their defense, so there should be no reason why Foles and the offense can’t exploit mismatches. Granted, the Eagles are without their No. 1 receiver, but we can’t discredit the other hands on the field.

Mike Wallace had gifted some stellar opportunities for Foles to throw the ball deep last week, but he underthrew it on multiple occasions. We will chalk it up as week one rust, but that just can’t happen moving forward. We need to see a lot more than running and less of Foles throwing five-yard slants to Nelson Agholor all day.
