Philadelphia Eagles: 5 players that are key to a victory over the Buccaneers
Zach Ertz, TE
Eagles tight end Zach Ertz might’ve had the worst game that he put on in a long time last week. Look, we’re not here to put down Ertz, as he is one of the best players on the team. Bad games are going to happen. But considering the circumstances, the Eagles need a guy like Ertz to be the biggest star on the field, and he simply fell short last week.
The good news is that was only week one. There is still plenty of time for Ertz to turn things around, and what better time to do it than this Sunday? Knowing how reliable Ertz has been in the past, there’s no chance that the Eagles shy away from their game plan of putting the ball in his hands.
No. 86 will continue to get a heavy workload this week. Hopefully, the week one jitter’s are out of his system, and he gets back to his 2017 ways of catching everything. With that, the offense could really open up some more opportunities in the passing game. Also, more pressure on Ertz can create some space for the rookie, Dallas Goedert. So, Ertz’s progression can not only help himself but really help his teammates as well.
