Jalen Mills, CB

Times are tough right now for Eagles cornerback, Jalen Mills. The third-year cornerback might’ve delayed his sophomore slump to year three. We can’t sugarcoat this as it is getting very old. Jalen Mills has been bad. Unless there’s a screen pass within five yards of him, he’s not useful at all.

Don’t get me wrong, the two pass break-ups in the red zone that he did have this past weekend were big, but the Minnesota Vikings wouldn’t have made it down the field that quickly if Mills didn’t let up yet, another massive bomb down the field. Not to mention, he almost picked up a penalty after his biggest play of the game for getting too cocky.

Right now, Jalen Mills is hurting the team more than he’s helping it. We need a bounce-back performance and hopefully, this week is it. Don’t bank on it though as Mills is not known to do that well against Odell Beckham Jr. To put it simply, Mills was torched by Beckham last year. We can’t see that happen again, because once Beckham’s confidence kicks in, it can be a long night for the Eagles secondary on Thursday.
