We hate to kick a guy when he’s down, but hey. Everyone’s down right about now.

1. Looking back, the Super Bowl wasn’t an isolated incident.

You remember the Super Bowl right? That vaunted Eagles defense was supposed to be good enough to, at least, slow down the New England Patriots.

That didn’t happen.

On that night, Tom Brady threw for twenty miles, and Philly’s best defense was to be effective on offense. In the end, if you count holding the Pats to a field goal on their first drive, a missed field goal and New England, basically, just running out of time at the end of the game, then the Eagles really only stopped New England once.

When Brandon Graham‘s strip-sack forced a turnover.

We thought that was an isolated incident, but it wasn’t. That’s carried over into 2018, and things are getting worse.
