Josh Adams, RB

It’s been said many times that the Eagles need to come fully prepared on offense in order to win this shootout. While yes, we know the Eagles are going to throw a lot, they absolutely need to establish somewhat of a run game. It’s understandable that Coach Pederson doesn’t trust his backfield. But at this point, he has no choice but to work with what he’s got.

The Eagles can’t keep throwing as much as they are. It’s too easy for the defense to predict the Eagles offense. Without their run game, they can’t get creative. Josh Adams is currently averaging 5.7 yards-per-carry. Unfortunately, he hasn’t exceeded nine carries in a single game.

At this point, Doug Pederson recognized everybody’s frustrations with the offense. Both Pederson and Groh have mentioned that they believe Adams should receive more carries, and it would obviously need to start this week. Will it actually happen though? We’ll see, but right now the Eagles would be smart to let Adams do his thing on Sunday finally.
