Malcolm Jenkins, S

For the last few years, Malcolm Jenkins has been the leader of the Eagles secondary. And although he is missing his partner in crime, Rodney McLeod, and playing with a practice squad-filled secondary, Jenkins has still been a bright spot at times. In fact, it’s very well possible that the Eagles lose all motivation before halftime last week without Jenkins’ clutch interception on Eli Manning to end the second quarter.

This week, the Eagles may get some cornerbacks back onto the field, but nobody is expecting the ‘Gang Green’ secondary to lockdown any receivers this weekend. From here on out, the Eagles defense will undoubtedly have to live by the ‘bend but don’t break’ approach as they are significantly short-staffed on that side of the ball.

The sole leadership of Jenkins makes everything feel alright though at times. While the veteran safety also has his fair share of struggles, he definitely makes up for a ton of issues while the Eagles are struggling big time. This week, they need Jenkins to play lights out, and hopefully force another turnover when needed once again.
