Michael Bennett, DE

Michael Bennett has easily been one of the best players on the Eagles roster by far this year. The veteran pass rusher joined the unit while it has been at it’s lowest in 2018, and wholly uplifted it at times. As the Eagles sack leader so far this year, Bennett is going to be looked at to get to the quarterback quite a few times this Monday night.

With the Redskins having a backup quarterback in the game, the Eagles defensive line can make it very difficult for Washington to move the ball. As long as Bennett is doing his part, he is going to make throws very uncomfortable and challenging for the backup quarterback, which can help out the depleted secondary tremendously.

The rest of the defensive line hasn’t been as consistent, but maybe Bennett’s lead will have the other guys following in his footsteps. Hopefully, his foot injury holds up though. Bennett missed a lot of practice this week, as he is still dealing with some pain from last week’s game. At least he knows he is going to play though.
