Fletcher Cox, DT

This season has been a roller coaster of production by Fletcher Cox. During the first stretch of games, there was a legitimate chance that Cox could be considered for Defensive Player of the Year. He was absoloutley dominant getting past the offensive line and disrupting the quarterback. It didn’t last very long though as Cox eventually slowed down, and hit a bit of a rough patch along with the rest of the team during the middle of the season.

Lately though, Cox has been getting back to hitting his stride, and the timing couldn’t be any more perfect. Last week, Cox was a problem for the Rams offensive line. Although he only has three tackles and a sack on his stat line, that doesn’t do him any justice. L.A. had no answer for Fletch. Seeing as though the Houston Texans offensive line is known to struggle as well, we could see another dominant performance by Cox.

By now, we have all figured out that Cox leads the charge on the front line when it comes to the defense. When he attracts all of the attention, it opens up opportunities for his teammates to get in the backfield as well. And even when Cox is getting doubled up, he still somehow powers his way into the backfield to cause a ruckus.
