Nigel Bradham, LB

Defensive MVP

The veteran linebacker has officially earned that contract he signed with the Eagles in the offseason. That’s not to say that Nigel Bradham hasn’t had a good year, but being that he is the only linebacker locked in with a long-term deal, he is expected to come up big in significant games. Well, Bradham did just that on Sunday as he was everywhere on the field making plays.

There was something about Bradham last season that made him so special. Beyond his high-energy throughout the game, he was just everywhere making plays. We finally saw him mirror some of his best performances from last year against the Bears this week, and he is deserving of winning the game ball for the defense.

Bradham finished up the night with the second-most tackles on the defense with seven total. Two of which, were for losses, and he added on a couple of pass deflections as well. He might not be the middle linebacker, but Bradham is undoubtedly the heart of the unit.

When Bradham and the big men up front are on their A-game, the Eagles are easily one of the most intimidating defenses in the league. Fletcher Cox said earlier in the week that Philly would come out and be the better defense, and he definitely was not lying. Bradham and company fed off of that energy and put on a stellar performance on that side of the ball.
