Philadelphia Eagles: 15 Cornerbacks to place on their 2019 NFL Draft board
Jamel Dean, Auburn Tigers
From one group of Tigers to another, here’s Jamel Dean. He’ll wow some with his six-foot-three and 208-pound frame. He’ll catch the attention of others because he battled injury throughout 2018 and wound up with 30 tackles, two interceptions and nine passes broken up despite having a cast on his hand.

He’s projected as a 4.5 guy as far as 40s go. We’ll see how he does there in the upcoming Combine.
Hamp Cheevers, Boston College Eagles
Yes, we actually found someone on the Boston College roster. It’s pretty easy to notice great players on bad football teams. When 2018 wrapped and BC had their bowl game cancelled, one of the best corners in the entire NCAA (yes, we said it) had come up with 39 tackles, seven interceptions and seven pass breakups.
Now, can you imagine if he had done that with Clemson or the Alabama Crimson Tide?
Blace Brown, Troy Trojans
Brown was disappointing in the East/West Shrine proceedings, but he racked up 44 tackles, an interception and with six pass break ups in 2018. NFL scouts will continue to monitor his progress given his six-foot, 183-pound frame and because he can run the 40 in 4.5 seconds.
David Long, Michigan Wolverines
We’ll be totally honest here. Long should have returned for another year, but as it stands now, he still could come off of boards on the final day of the draft.
Kris Boyd, Texas Longhorns
Boyd is another one of those corners who’s Vick’s size, but he shined in his final season in Austin, producing 67 tackles, an interception and 16 pass breakups. He, like, Boyd, may hear his name called on the draft’s final day.
Keep an eye on Isaiah Johnson of the Houston Cougars and Corey Ballentine out of Washburn. They’re two guys who play at schools that you may not have watched much. Even with that being said, they’re two guys who will be mentioned a lot during the NFL Combine, and they may hear their names called on the last day of the draft.
