Round 2, Pick 57: Mack Wilson, LB

At pick 57 of the second round, Philly finally does something about their quandary at linebacker with the selection of Mack Wilson. We know. Right there, half of you threw your hands up. The analysis of Wilson is all over the place.

Some are horrified about taking him and are even calling him a bust before his NFL career begins. Others see him as a second-round selection. When you look at Philly’s needs and who figures to be available at pick 57, Wilson is as safe a pick as any. The second round and third round of the draft go down on Friday. We’ll see how close this guess is (and if Wilson slides out of Round 2).

Round 4, Pick 127: Jerry Tillery, DT

It’s the two words we all hate to hear at this time of the year. No, we don’t mean ‘injury concerns’. We’re talking about those good old ‘character concerns’. Tillery crafted a nice career at Notre Dame, and now he has his sights on the greener pastures of the NFL.

He’s a nice option to add to the interior of Philly’s line if, by this point of the draft, they haven’t taken a defensive tackle already. Plus, with so many character guys on the team currently, Tillery has some mature guys to lean on in the locker room and learn from (if necessary).
