5 key players for the upcoming Philadelphia Eagles season
By Sean McBryan
Jordan Howard
The Eagles didn’t have to give up much when they acquired Jordan Howard from the Chicago Bears in late March. It only took a sixth-round draft pick. That seems like little to give up for a 24-year-old running back who has averaged 1,123 yards per season over his first three years.
With Jay Ajayi gone and no clear workhorse on the roster, the Eagles need someone to be the bruiser in what will be a committee backfield. Howard needs to step up and prove the Bears were wrong in not wanting to resign him as he enters the final year of his contract.
If not, the Eagles will have to rely more on rookie Miles Sanders, Corey Clement and Wendell Smallwood.
