Defensive end (5)

The verdict: Brandon Graham, Derek Barnett, Vinny Curry, Shareef Miller, Josh Sweat

The argument: This will be one of the most feared defensive lines in football all season long. Graham’s a no brainer. Barnett and Sweat have a ton of upside. Curry provides a wealth of experience as a reserve who’s also familiar with Philly’s defensive scheme (this is his second stop with the team).

You also can’t forget about Shareef Miller. Philly took him in the most recent draft, and the coaches love him already.

Defensive tackle (5)

The verdict: Fletcher Cox, Malik Jackson, Timmy Jernigan, Hassan Ridgeway, Treyvon Hester

The argument: There aren’t too many players in the NFL who are better than Cox, and we include all positions on the field when we say that. Malik Jackson comes over from the Jacksonville Jaguars, and that actually makes Jernigan one of the reserves.

If Jernigan is back to one-hundred percent, think about how scary that is for a second. Throw in Ridgeway and Hester and you’ve got a nice rotation. That also means rest for Cox and Jackson, meaning both should be fresh if a playoff run is on the horizon.
