Linebackers (5)

The verdict: Zach Brown, Nigel Bradham, T.J. Edwards, Kamu Grugier-Hill, Nathan Gerry

The argument: Ever since his addition to the team post draft, T.J. Edwards has turned heads. Worrilow’s knee issues may be returning which could derail his chances, but when you look at everybody else on paper, this is the nicest mix of talent that we can come up with. That is if L.J Fort doesn’t disrupt everything with a nice camp.

Expect Grugier-Hill, who played somewhere around thirty percent of the defensive snaps in 2018, to finally take on a bigger role in this defense.

Cornerback (6)

The verdict: Ronald Darby, Sidney Jones, Rasul Douglas, Avonte Maddox, Cre’Von LeBlanc, Jalen Mills

The argument: We pick on ‘The Green Goblin’, Jalen Mills, a lot, but he should be good enough to make this roster. Everyone’s fingers are crossed that this will be an injury-free season for Jones. Then there’s Maddox and LeBlanc. Both proved, without a shadow of a doubt, that they belong in the NFL.

That leaves Darby and Douglas who have both proven that they’ve been two of the best corners on this roster for a couple of years (when Darby is healthy that is).

Safety (4)

The verdict: Malcolm Jenkins, Rodney McLeod, Blake Countess, Tre Sullivan

The argument: Sullivan, McLeod and the ‘Iron Man’, Jenkins will make this team. Sendejo is a name to watch, but he’s a little older. Also, if he’s sent packing, Philly gets a compensatory pick in next year’s draft.
