Was a phenomenal performance in Green Bay reason enough to catapult the Philadelphia Eagles back into the NFL’s top ten teams?

Welcome to the world of overreactions, better known as life as a fan in the NFL. For many Philadelphia Eagles fans, a devastating loss to the Detroit Lions led some to believe that their favorite team was in a state of flux. One week later, we should all be able to agree on a few things, and here are two of them.

First, the Eagles’ loss to the Lions wasn’t as ugly a loss as we originally believed it was. Detroit can play. Then, there’s one other thing. Ineffectiveness happens in the NFL. Every team will have struggles, even the mighty New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs. We saw that on Sunday. That doesn’t mean Tom Brady has fallen off of a cliff.

Good offenses will struggle against good defenses. Players will have off games. Quarterbacks will miss throws. Teams will struggle without important players. Sometimes, the final score doesn’t tell us everything.

The Dallas Cowboys struggled on the road while the Eagles excelled. How did that affect this week’s Power Rankings? You don’t have to wait to find out.
