1. Sidney Jones, CB

The Eagles confirmed on Friday that the injured cornerback Sidney Jones would play on Sunday. Two weeks ago, Jones got the start for the Eagles to replace Ronald Darby, and it wouldn’t be long before Jones went out with a hamstring injury himself.

Last week, Jones was cleared to play and suited up, but he never saw the field. As the Eagles handled the Jets with ease, they didn’t see a reason to trot Jones out on the field and further risk his lower-body injury. This week though, is a different story.

Jones will suit up, and he’s expected to play. Although he’s still dealing with his hamstring mishaps, Doug Pederson has grown a bit fed up with the situation. As Jones’ first two seasons in the NFL were defined by continually being injured, he doesn’t want to see the third-year veteran deal with the same issues for the third year in a row. This week offers a tough matchup for the secondary, and the Eagles need their former second-round pick to step up for once.
