Philadelphia Eagles playoff chances are higher than you think
Don’t give up hope on a postseason berth if you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan. Their chances of making the playoffs may actually be higher than you think.
After two ugly losses, there have been some dark days around the Philadelphia Eagles fanbase. Any mention of the postseason, these days, normally evokes one of two responses. You get a sarcastic laugh and a side-eye, or you’re told that you don’t know as much about football as you think you do.
Here’s some good news if you like ‘The Birds’. The stats show that their chances of making the postseason may not be as minimal as some are saying.

Recently, NFL.com’s Game Theory released their theory on every team’s chances of making the playoffs as of Week 8, and the Eagles, in their mind, have a fifty-percent chance of getting in. So do their biggest threat in the NFC East, the Dallas Cowboys.
Nine teams in the NFL were seen as having a better shot. That includes five teams in the NFC. They include the New Orleans Saints (73%), the Green Bay Packers (72%), the San Francisco 49ers (65%), the Seattle Seahawks (53%), and the Los Angeles Rams (51%).
That would also mean if things work out the way they’re thinking, your division winners are New Orleans, San Francisco, Green Bay, and either Dallas or Philly. Seattle and Los Angeles would be your Wildcard teams. Most would agree with that.
To be honest, if that’s how things worked out, NFL fans would be looking at some very good games in a highly competitive NFC.
