2. What if a very team with a very good roster never makes the move to make themselves a great roster?

Here’s what can be said about the Eagles definitively. This is a team that’s truly one or two pieces away from being seen as a legitimate contender in the NFC. Yes, they need a consistent pass rush. Yes, they’re aging, but the facts are this. Philly is a team that can be good if they can get healthy and if they can play with some consistency.

Most of you are probably sick of hearing this by now, but they truly were one or two plays away from tacking two more wins on the ledger.

If the Eagles ever needed their vice president and general manager, Howie Roseman, to pull something spectacular off, the time would be now. He’s been quiet and all of the ‘Howie Season’ tweets have all but evaporated. If there’s any thought that this is indeed a season where Philly can do some great things, they need to be aggressive.

Teams are doing all that they can to improve around them. ‘The Birds’ can no longer afford to be passive.
